Chaldean numerology (also called Vedic or "Cheiro" numerology) is an ancient system that assigns numerical values to letters based on sound vibration - not alphabetical order. Each number from 1 to 9 (plus the master numbers 11, 22, 33) corresponds to a planet: Sun (1), Moon (2), Jupiter (3), Rahu (4), Mercury (5), Venus (6), Ketu (7), Saturn (8), and Mars (9). Your core numbers reveal personality, life direction, and current timing.
Sivayan's calculator derives every number mathematically from your name and date of birth - no guesswork, no static text. The Personal Year, Personal Month, and Personal Day numbers update relative to today, giving you a real-time view of your current numerological cycle.

Common questions
Pythagorean assigns letters 1--9 in alphabetical sequence (A=1, B=2…). Chaldean assigns values based on vibration (A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4, E=5, F=8…) and excludes 9 from the letter map (9 is considered sacred). Chaldean is considered more accurate in Vedic / Eastern numerology traditions.
Master numbers (11, 22, 33) are not reduced further in the standard reduction. They carry heightened energy and responsibility. 11 relates to spiritual leadership, 22 to the master builder, and 33 to the master teacher.
Karmic debt numbers (13, 14, 16, 19) arise from specific pre-reduction totals in the destiny calculation. They signal life lessons carried from past lives - areas requiring extra effort and conscious attention.
The Personal Year (PY) is computed from your birth day + birth month + the CURRENT year. It repeats on a 9-year cycle and tells you the broad theme of the current year in your life. PY1 = new beginnings; PY4 = hard work and foundations; PY9 = completion and release.
The Lo Shu grid (also called the Magic Square of Saturn) is a 3×3 grid where each digit 1--9 occupies a fixed cell. Your date of birth digits are mapped onto it - cells with repeated digits are strengths; empty cells are missing qualities that become life themes.
