Choghadiya divides the day and the night into eight segments each, labelled Amrit, Shubh, Labh, Char, Udveg, Rog and Kaal. It is one of the most popular muhurat systems in western and northern India for picking a quick favourable window - Amrit, Shubh and Labh are good; Udveg, Rog and Kaal are avoided.
