Sivayan (“Sivayan”, “we”, “us”) operates sivayan.com and the associated Vedic astrology services. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using the service you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Account data: name, email address, and authentication identifiers (including Google sign-in if used).
Birth data you provide: date, time, and place of birth, which we geocode to coordinates and timezone to compute your chart.
Usage data: pages viewed, features used, and questions asked, used to operate and improve the service.
Payment data: processed by our payment provider (e.g. Razorpay). We do not store full card details on our servers.

How we use your data

To generate your Kundli, reports, compatibility analysis, and AI-assisted explanations.
To maintain your account, credits, and purchase history.
To respond to support requests and send service-related communication.
To detect abuse, secure the platform, and meet legal obligations.

Birth data and astrological calculations

Your birth details are used to compute your chart deterministically. We retain them so you can revisit your charts and reports without re-entering them. You may request deletion at any time (see “Your rights”).

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us operate (hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics), under contractual confidentiality, and where required by law.

Data retention

We retain account and birth data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. On account deletion we remove or anonymise your personal data, except where retention is legally required.

Your rights

Access, correct, or delete your personal and birth data.
Withdraw consent or object to certain processing.
Export your data in a portable format.
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
