The 12 Rashis (Zodiac Signs)
The twelve signs of the sidereal zodiac — their elements, qualities and ruling planets.
A Rashi is a 30° segment of the sidereal zodiac. Vedic astrology uses twelve Rashis, each ruled by a planet and belonging to one of four elements and one of three modalities. Your Moon’s Rashi (Chandra Rashi) is especially important — it anchors your emotional nature and the Vimshottari dasha.
The four elements are fire (energetic, pioneering), earth (practical, grounded), air (intellectual, social) and water (emotional, intuitive). The three qualities are movable/cardinal (initiating), fixed (stabilising) and dual/mutable (adapting).
