A planet's strength depends heavily on the sign it sits in. An exalted or own-sign planet gives strong, clean results; a debilitated or enemy-sign planet struggles. Two more states matter: combustion (too close to the Sun, weakening the planet) and retrogression (apparent backward motion, turning the planet inward and intensifying it).
Sivayan computes all of these from your sidereal chart and shows them as clear badges per planet.

Common questions
A planet within a set orb of the Sun is "combust" (Astangata) and considered weakened, as its light is overpowered by the Sun.
Not necessarily - Vedic tradition often treats a retrograde planet as strong but inward-turning, intensifying its themes.
